Job Summary: |
The Director of Social Support Services provides therapeutic and behavioral support for children and families to promote success in the Club, school, home and community. Integrating a social and emotional lens to their work, the Social Worker provides impactful prevention, promotion, early intervention, and support services including group sessions, case management, consultation, crisis intervention, grief support and referral work. The Director of Social Support Services will work collaboratively with Club employees, public school district employees and other public entities to recruit children and connect the family to any and all appropriate care. The Social Worker will effectively manage a caseload and clinical documentation while adhering to an evidence-based practice framework to manage and encourage progress for Club Members. Clinical work is guided by BGCE RGV's four pillars of care: cultural competence, financial accessibility, convenience for families, and trauma-informed care. |

Required Education: |
Bachelor Degree in Social Work or related field/ License issued by the Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners at time of hire or within 60 days of hire date. |

Master of Social Work with licensure (LMSW) |

Required Work Experience: |
Three (3) years' experience in youth development management |
Experience Preference: |
Four (4) years of experience in youth development management |
Supervisory Experience Requirement: |
One (1) year of experience supervising volunteers, part-time, or full-time staff |
